Haritha Karma Sena, a 35-member social enterprise that has brought about major changes in the waste management activities of Thuvvur Gram Panchayat, is a women's group formed under the leadership of local self-government institutions in Kerala, especially through the Kudumbashree Mission. Its main task is to collect inorganic waste from houses and shops in the Gram Panchayat, take it to the MCF, sort it and prepare it for scientific disposal.
